Good result. I thought a lot of the Tranmere team looked liked they'd been on the pork pies. Fat sods!

No one mentioning the officials, who I thought had a poor game between them.

Tramps first goal came off a corner that should never have been given as it should have been a free kick to us for the assault on Dunn, and then their second came off a free kick that was an absolute joke.

Their number 18 employed a tactic that if he lost the ball, he just threw himself to the ground and shouted "aargh". The Ref fell for it EVERY time.

Love the way we always misname new players, we've had Raven, Craven and Crane in 3 pages so far! Great result by the way, let's follow up with massive 3 points Tuesday again an improving Gateshead

I actually thought Boden played really well, he seems to have massively upped his game alongside Quigley.

He's massively upped his game because he is not being asked to play number 9 and is out of harms way in virtually a centre midfield position.

Has nice touches and can pass, as long as he is in space 45 yards from goal.he is not dictating play, demanding the ball, or playing one twos on the edge of the D, the way Tranmere were.

If we could defend set-pieces we'd have won that; shocking today.

Rutherford and Kelly were poor. Holroyd didn't show up well either; I felt sorry for him stuck out there.

Raven did well; a very efficient defender.

To say Quigley was head and shoulders ahead of everyone else would be unfair; he was our best player from the tips of his toes. He really needs a better partner; Boden has improved but he still doesn't look like the player Newport had.

Solid enough. Tranmere better side, draw fair though.

Raven MOTM for me. Came on in an unfamiliar position and didnt put a foot wrong. Good signing.
