Re: Guiseley Verdict - 0-2 Top of the league
I think come the end its going to be incredibly tight and there will be a few more than that in the mix. The fact no one still has started to pull away yet is testament to how tight the league is this year. If we keep getting the points on the board then the pressure is on everyone else to keep up with us now we are top.

Re: Guiseley Verdict - 0-2 Top of the league
Thing is as DK said we need to take care of our own results - nothing we can do about the others.
However, not everybody can win every week - the big guns will play each other and 'one or both will drop points. We need to get wins against Sutton United and Aldershot - the big 6 pointers. I'm hoping Tranmere's away form fails them but they have picked up massively in recent weeks - I see them like us - momentum will build and they will also take large away followings - we are both strong at home. Aldershot and Sutton still up there - I agree about Macclesfield fading away. |

Re: Guiseley Verdict - 0-2 Top of the league
the top 5 are the only ones in with a chance, will be interesting to see how Macc fair giving they're playing Aldershot and Tranmere away soon
We have two big tests in Sutton away on an artificial pitch and Aldershot at home (Although our home form is incredible) Who do you think has the easiest set of fixtures on paper? Here's a visual of the table showing the remaining fixtures for the Top 5: |

Looking at that, Aldershot have the toughest fixtures if we just count fixtures against the top 7. Macclesfield play all their games against the top 7 away, but they've performed slightly better on the road than at home so far this season. We have the joint least games to play against the top 7 so arguably we have the best set of fixtures out of the top 5 as Macc still have to go to Tranmere who have the best home record in the league.
