It's widely known that Keates contract was written to suit both parties.. The club wouldn't have to pay much compo if he was sacked for failing and he couldn't be held against his will.

Most of the sensible / reasonable posters can see this.

I would be amazed if Darlington left but I have been wrong so far regarding Keates leaving . As for Davis yes I think he will jump ship probably for the extra money joining Keates will bring in . Lets go for Pearson and Darlington till end of season but start the recruitment process straight away and who ever comes in can then take over assisted by Darlington and player coach Pearson.

Stop not understanding contracts, it's getting annoying now.

Anyone can walk away from a contract at anytime. The downside is that you stand a chance of getting sued for breach of contract. Surely it's far more pragmatic for the club to agree compensation with Walsall than waiting for Keates to resign then sue as this way we get a guaranteed sum up front.
