Haha I’m looking forward to hearing you explain that one!

Mills did alright in his first season. I can’t put Keates any higher because he’s not seen a full season through.
Mills is equal bottom, the damage he did and was allowed to do is unmeasurable, he dragged the clubs name through the dirt at times!

All available so we can prop up our ailing ideological ownership model, skin the fans for some extra build the budget money and then throw the progress away again.
You seem totally mixed up about all this Foxy. No secret that you don't support the fan ownership model but what would a private owner do different when an offer to boost the business incomings comes their way. If the price is right the deal has to be done?

We reached the play offs under Morrell using the legacy of the overspend of Moss. Since then, under the ownership we have failed to reach the play offs. We have a chance this season but they may well have bungled it again by giving Keates ridiculously easy release clauses. We have no young players coming through. We are now are in another situation of rebuild. We have no permanent training base. We still have a three sided ground with vast areas cut off by netting. We are surviving at the top of the league on the basis of goals scored by a loanee. We have been knocked out of cup competitions in the first round. We are in competition with up and coming clubs with money and being taken over by them. Any more ?

I can’t fathom how you think using the term “whore of football” when referring to your own club is acceptable.

Absolutely extraordinary.
You can also come to gentleman agreements between parties like happens at many other clubs, so say, see out the season and if Walsall still want you we'll allow you to leave? Or tell Walsall he's all yours in the summer, I doubt Keates is the sort to push for such a move given he's a cult hero to many.

I'm not fussed overall, I think more could be done to keep hold of prize assets though by coming to such agreements where possible.

Anyone know how common such clauses are in managers contracts? This is probably the first time I've seen it used for coaching staff. I also wonder if such a clause existed in his original contract too, we'll likely never know.

Keates tweet says everything... ‘It is all about me and nothing else - I understand that i’m letting everyone who has placed trust in me down but flip you lot cause it’s all about me! I lied blatantly to all that would listen and had the nerve to call it our club when I was in charge but really I was just feathering my own nest and now it’s your club cause I don’t really give a flying’ Has the nerve to add UTST when he really has been thinking Up Walsall and Dean Keates Inc all along - well DK you’ve shown your true colours in this last 72 hours and Wrexham AFC are better without you. Good luck at your beloved hometown, when they’ve had enough of you and you’ve gotten them relegated then they’ve sacked you don’t think you can just turn up at our great club and be welcomed back with opened arms - selfish turncoat. We’ll get our glory without you and be beating your beloved home team next season in League Two or if not next season the one after because we are the bigger team! COYR - Wrexham to the core - one town one team no selfish traitors!
