Default Akil Wright and Simon Ainge

Did Akil and Ainge have the impact on the game that everyone was hoping for on here?

Ainge doesn't look fit and Wright hasn't started a game since we signed him permanently - why if he is fit?

Ainge did far better than I expected after coming on so early. Some of his headed flick ons were good, sometimes feeding Quigley. The latter put in a tremendous shift in the second half and was unlucky not to get another goal or create a goal for a colleague.

Akil had a quietish game but made a few telling interceptions and was a physical presence in midfield when it mattered. A big improvement on Deverdics I thought (not saying much I know) and AD should persevere with him.

Ainge worked hard for 40 mins, but was knackered by then. Was a bit disappointed with wright was out muscled quite a bit but needs a run in the team.dont get me started on deverdics, what a waste of a clean shirt. Couldn’t believe we took Kelly off and put him on.

How can Deverdics go from being out of the squad and then replace Kelly as sub next game. It's clueless management.

Totally agree Steve re Deverdics. Did nothing when he came on which seems par for the course. I wasn't saying that Akil was perfect - far from it but he did make a couple of telling interventions that Dev wouldn't have done. Considering this was his first start for months and we have no reserve team I thought he did ok and should start again on Tuesday.

Yep agree, think we need to start with Quigley on tues with Bowden as the no 10, then when he runs out of steam throw Ainge on. I never want to see deverdics or francs in a wxm shirt again both a complete waste of time.
