He is the player who we needed ALONGSIDE Wedgebury last season. Wedgebury would stop the attacks, get the ball and lay off to Young.

Unfortunately if Young was planned to be that role this season, then Wedgebury buggering off has scuppered that plan!

Young can't be a deep lying play maker and box-to-box. Wright is a box-to-box midfielder.

In theory Deverdics is supposed to be an attracking midfielder.

More importantly, every single attack went through Jennings. Now you may say that was why we were bad going forward, or that still doesnt mean he was a threat, but there were times when he was our only attacking outlet, and the only player to take on a defender or cross into the box.

Newton scored 9 times for York last season. Jennings had zero assists so I am not sure what to make of 'every attack went through him' .

I dont think either of the full backs we have are good enough, but Sam could improve them you never know.

Stockport fans seem to think he's off as they have already signed strikers to replace him. A transfer with him is always going to take a while due to him having another job, it's not as straightforward.
