I don’t doubt we were in for cook. We couldn’t praise him from Tranmere, which was understandable from their perspective. We haven’t been able to attract any similar talent either. That is why we are a mid table team currently. I was hoping build the budget would be used to fetch proper strikers in January to the racecourse. Quigley did okay, but all of our other signings were poor.

In fairness wilkin got moult and Jennings here in one summer, and that was under the current ownership model. Wilkin for some reason went on to play bishop up top. We even got dan holman in on loan as well. For some reason the 3 seasonspots since striker recruitment has been poor. Let's hope Ricketts gets it right.

The Aigne signing was a joke, he made the Bakere signing look a snip.

Exactly, and that’s it. 3000 owners all chip in the best they can, a hard working volunteer board of directors do their best. The big gaping hole in the side of the ship has been patched, but we cannot afford a new motor to push on so to speak, & if we don’t push on, hope dwindles and consequently the number of “owners” will dwindle, does anybody believe “back the budget” has the same enthusiasm this year compared to last? No, I thought not! In truth if we want to compete in our current guise, then the owners (each one of us) need to invest a minimum of £200/250 each per season!...bloody scary.
