I can see the need to engage with non members, but it's not true to suggest the trust members live in some sort of trust bubble. I don't imagine the irate fans at the end of the Mills era, or at orient were exclusively trust members.

Pagl's idea of a tent at the ground is good, but realistically, a high proportion of the non members attending games are non members by choice, leaving a relatively small number who can be converted or just returned to the fold.

An alternative would be to set up some kind of meet the trust/board stall in town on a sat morning to meet more potential and lapsed fans who could be tempted to join, or return if they felt the club was reaching out to them and listening to thier reasons for staying away.

Easy for me to say, I don't pretend to have the time or the skills to man the stall, i'm more of a keyboard worrier as john richardson might say.

As far as I am aware we never got a list. Data protection act and all that.

I think we have to think out the box...I don't think it's as simple as expecting everyone to be a member There just be a raft of options.
For example take any business I will use Tesco as my example. There will be a percentage of customers who will buy shares in Tesco and will become involved in meetings and decision making..There will be other customers who are attracted by special offers and Tesco cards etc..Others will be attracted by a range of reasons..The point I am trying to make is they are all interlinked to the product of Tesco..As we are all interlinked to Wrexham fc

Why can't we have a WST bar at the ground where we can get a drink and sign new members up before a game. I suggested a marquee in the Mold Rd/Tech End corner next to the floodlights (like Tranmere have outside their ground) where we could sell bottled beer, have a big screen TV and get WST members and maybe even RP'ers to all mix before a game and buy some simple food and drink and put money into the club.
Hey we could even invite the away fans to it, I am sure they could all fit on a table in the corner.

I let my membership lapse just to test the renewal process and basically its appalling - yes both me being lazy and no contact from the club.
This is a brilliant idea.

Do I really have to download a from, print it out, fill it in, post it or take it to the bank to set up a SO/DD and pay these membership fees.

Why cant I do it on-line? Hmm controversial I know and in todays day and age why isn't this possible?
Why can't we have a membership committee that actively contacts the lapsed members. Maybe they locate the missing 1,000 from the Stoke game, maybe they engage with 3,000 from the Tranmere game.

Will you be encapsulating some of your ideas in resolutions for the AGM?

Decent cup run in either Trophy is the sure fire way to generate interest in the club.

Problem when i have spoken to people last season about getting them to go was the football was dire and boring to watch. Unless Ricketts brings something fresher to the plate people won't go for the same old crap. Once some new signings come in they need to start pushing membership.

Maybe they could copy and paste some of my posts, plenty of food for thought there. Unfortunately I am in Majorca for the WST AGM.

Send your resolutions before you go.
Nothing changes unless critics of the status quo do something to change it.
