In fairness you are 100% right as it can’t get any worse because it’s bloody awful.

They signed a decent managment team which shows an intention to do something this coming season.

When given a massive budget, frankly who cares what they do.

Took them ages to appoint them. And are they a decent management team? They did well with a massive budget but why did Salford get rid of them? Jury is still out for me

They must have been fairly cheap too as they only went for them after their other choices turned them down.

And Neil Redfearn (who was closest to get over the line) has now moved to Liverpool Ladies as manager.

They wanted the club to go full time and the owners didnt so they got rid of them by default.

Over the years, all of the money in non league that has generally been focused on a few small poorly supported teams and a lack of financial fair play has really diminished my interest in football. I can't see it returning soon if I'm honest. This is not a dig at Wrexham by the way, who have suffered by the way this league is financed. I just find it hard to stomach season after season playing second fiddle to teams that most of us had never heard of ten years ago. More worrying though is that is now becoming the expectation by many fans to be hopefull of picking up a draw to teams like Boreham Wood and Fylde. Sad times for football generally.

I honestly don’t get the obsession people have with whether they’ve heard of clubs previously. For me, being stuck in this league would be equally depressing whether it’s Bury, Rochdale, Tranmere, Chesterfield or Fylfe ahead of us. I just want to see us succeed!
