Kate Bush's wuthering heights. A haunting, beautiful, soaring ballad.

This was the music being pumped out the PA system at low volume to fire the crowd up to 'back the boys' at the kick off for the second half.

I thought the atmosphere had been pretty flat at times and ......yes that was certainly down to what we were witnessing on the pitch. The 2nd half often starts like this with people wandering back with chips and that.

I just think it would be beneficial if the club looked at this and tried to generate a little more atmosphere through maybe one or two more raucous numbers. I recall they had a good go at this when we were intially playing well and crowds were up in Mills first season. I can only assume they got alot of complaints from the blue rinse brigade about the noise or something.

Music choices can have a big impact on people's moods and fire them up. I know of no boxer that uses a Kate Bush song at low volume for their walk out music.

I think it's important to try and get the crowd going as silence and low energy from the crowd seems to make a home team nervy and play poorly and actually emboldens the away side. It is in fact their aim. Silence the home crowd. If we have the ability to get the crowd going with music why don't we?

Just a thought.

100% agree.

Not knocking Yma O Hyd or whatever it is but it’s hard for people to get pumped up when they cannot understand the words.

Also what’s that depressing song we’ve been playing at the final whistle? One of the lyrics is ‘take my seat in the mold road stand’. Again not saying it’s a bad song, just not right for the occasion.

Can we stop playing the hideous song that is played at full time too? Win, Lose or Draw its played and its painful to listen to

Yeah I get that there's a place for all these songs that are club specific and that. Clearly some fan has put alot of effort in. The song when the grounds emptying out to me is sentimental drivel and incredibly downbeat. Walking out to that you have a feeling that we just lost 0-3 and the club's back in administration.

I think you'll find our record collection on old vinyl 45's was completed in 1985 - none of that modern day rubbish thank you very much.

Whoever plays the music pre match has my full support - anyone who plays Billy Ocean's classic 'Red Light' in my view is a musical genius at the same level as Beethoven etc

I have happy memories of that Kate Bush number 1 hit but perhaps it's not so much relevant as the clock ticks down towards kick off - perhaps swop it for 'Lets Stick Together' by Roxy Music.

At the end of the game the record played is by our ex midfielder Gareth Owen - listen to the lyrics - it's what we are about - not the most bouncy tune but perhaps that's the idea as people filter out of the ground in a status of calm. And perhaps it's being aired to link in with the concert / gig he is doing as advertised by the PA announcers at half time.

Yma O Hyd is dreadful in my opinion does nothing more than remind you the second half has started its woeful for what it’s meant for. They also need to crank Men of harlech

What annoys me is we never get a choice in music, who is actually in charge of it can’t the fans have a say?
