Martin Allen did a job on us today. Bigged our team up before the game along with a suggestion they would not be at their strongest.

It's 2 points dropped and feels like a defeat but the main thing is there is negative reaction and we are bang at it on Tuesday.

Last time we conceded a last min equaliser, we were flat next game after a quick turnaround, Solihull away. Win on tuesday and 4 points out of 6 is a decent return.

I had the game on Capon FM and the commentators were saying our mid-field were to deep and encouraging Chesterfield onto us which resulted in the equaliser.
There seamed chance's going amiss, we just can't get that goal to put games to bed.
The other week I posted that Sam needs to get a striker in and got slaughtered. How dare I say this when joint top of the league, another how negative I was, I mentioned the Ward money to bring someone in, with replies of money doesn't grow on trees etc etc.
My point was if someone came in January with quality at this leval could be the difference in winning this league, I look on this view as positive.
We have chief scout on the books surely he's out there looking at player's.

Can't keep hoping we can sit back for 20+ mins with only a goal advantage. If these tactics remain then the need for pace up front is more than ever. We were inviting pressure today with holroyd and beavon as our two outlets up top, allowing their defence to be much higher as zero danger of being done on the counter over the top. Hines needs to be involved or shipped back, waste of a name on the squad list. Holroyd looks weak as p1ss whenever he comes on and doesn't offer the pace to stretch teams either.

Just Back and boy what a wake up call. First half we more than matched them but second hald OMG it was like what the F##k has happened to the team. They looked more mobile, fitter, had more skill, and more desire if honest. To get out of it with a draw was Bloody Amazing. In January the Trust need to back Sam with some decent money and let him bring in some quality. Fondop may be raw but Bloody Hell when he went off and we were launching the ball up from the back there was certainly no one else to even attempt to win it. We just invited pressure for all of the second half and again with a huge following singing their hearts out

At the end of the season a point at chesterfield may look quite good. Overreaction to fondop performance a little predictable.
On to Tuesday as we continue to impress.

That second half wasn’t good. The ball never stuck up top despite us bringing on Beavon and Holroyd. Reminded me a little of Chester away last season in terms of the ball not sticking

Difficult conditions first half with the wind in our faces, we struggled to get out of our half, they didn’t have the same problem 2nd half. we created hardly anything all game, Fondop and Pyke both poor. They looked a much better team when they took that lump off up front and their goal was coming all game! We need to go for the kill when we get ahead. Probably be a good point when we look back on it at the end of the season. Like others have said if we win Tuesday it won’t be a bad week
