Pity Barrow does not want it permanently as I think he deserves a lot of credit for Saturday’s performance and would do a good job

We will always lose good young coaches but it’s left a nasty taste all over

Makes you wonder why didn't we do the due diligence before we appointed him? The appointment process needs to be looked at.

This. They peaked last season, I really can't see Shrewsbury doing better than mid-table in league one, and no-one's going to hire him in the Championship for that. Promotions to L2/L1 would have been more likely to attract interest.

Felt the same about Keates to be honest, although I understand more the want to manage your hometown club. It feels like Walsall have been finishing around 13th in League One for about 20 years regardless of who's in charge. A bit of a 'nothing' club really.

I agree. It's an odd decision but as more comes to light, I'm glad he made it.
