Played with GB at Wigan and also played at the highest level with Everton. Born in St Helens and been coaching for a few years although at a fairly low level so would be cheap.

I would like to see a youngish assistant come in. Someone who Barrow can pass on his experience to like with Ricketts. They would then take over in a couple of years and appoint Pearson as their assistant.

The likes of Lee and many others mentioned is way out of our pay grade.

GB indicated someone he played with and we’re going to be pleased so must have WAFC connections as well.

After looking through our neighbours squads in Barrows spell there the only names I can come up with are

Flitcroft - Mansfield manager so that's out.
Gary Bennet - surely not??
Kevin Ratcliffe - - surely not but has some coaching experience??

Barrow never played with Ratcliffe, who arrived at Chester shortly after he left in 1994. As I said previously if it was someone he played with at Chester then Joe Hinnigan is your most likely bet, given he was part of the set-up at I think every club GB managed (as physio but also involved in coaching).

More likely though is somebody from his Wigan days in the mid-1980s, with many of them having gone into management/coaching such as David Lowe.
