For whatever reason, it hasn't worked out for him at Morecambe. Don't know anything about him, but his record at Stockport is worthy of some respect. Did Morecambe pay a fee for him?

Oswell gave up a decent job at the Countess of Chester Hospital to go full-time with Morecambe, so suspect he'll be determined to prove himself if you did sign him.

According to a couple of Stockport fans at work they describe Oswell as a goal poacher/hanger (in old money) always in and around the box... they seem to think if you get the ball into that area frequently he will score.... Morecombe's problems are they can't get the ball into the area's he thrives in maybe Grant and Beavon can with Tollitt frightening defences to death by running at them giving Oswell some space....

Don't think we have a problem getting the ball into the box - just need someone who can stick the ball away on a regular basis.

Not a large fee I know from my time scouting and talking to numerous agents and so people I know who work at Morecambe that’s it’s likely he’ll leave as he’s had a disagreement with Jim Bentley and that’s why he hasn’t played a lot

Which is what Oswell is. Judging by his time at Stockport and Newtown, sometimes a move doesn't work out for a variety of reasons, we were happy enough trying to sign him in the summer so why not now?
