My point was Steve that we did nothing in the next 10 minutes to indicate we were likely to score and it was surely worth putting either Fondop or JMD on for 10 minutes to see if they could do anything different. Fondop did ok against Finney at Maidstone last month although his finishing was not great. But having got a goal last week I thought he was worth a try. If he wasn't deemed good enough to come on last Saturday he might as well be shipped out onloan in January.

The full backs I thought were both particularly poor, would give Grant a 5 thought he had a poor game and Holroyd did himself no favours with another insipid display.

Only Lainton, Pearson, Lawlor and to an extent Summerfield could say they had a decent game today.

Holroyd replaced Beavon in the 66 th minute - the only sub we made until added time.

Last season Holroyd was one of the first names on the team sheet and top goal scorer - he can't have suddenly become crap overnight.

There is something peculiar at this club of ours - doesn't matter who we play up front - if they get 5 games on the bounce they are doing well - is it too much disruption, style of play, playing players out of position or the confidence is kicked out of them ? We keep changing them but it makes not a blind bit of difference.
