I wasn't near any of the trouble spots today but what others on here are saying is absolutely bang on form for North Wales Police. I have to wonder once again what is the point of that helicopter other than to waste an awful lot of money getting it up into the air. Don't they have horses in NWP to control crowds ? Or effective policemen?

I bottled it, yes. What a bloody coward I must be, not a real man like you eh?

And why would I blame the police for not being able to ensure idiots like that weren't able to get loose? What would it have to do with them?
Idiots like that are to blame, the police can’t be everywhere and are an easy target. That was my only point. I apologise if I offended you, my previous point/comment was too far, that wasn’t my intent, sorry.

I was there so just ignore those people who were not. It was not good.

I am generally supportive of the police and loathe to criticise them but in this case they got it wrong.

They no longer have experience of policing larger crowds and some clubs will bring more fans and more troublesome fans than Chesterfield if (sorry when)
we return to the football league.

Let's hope NWP learn lessons quickly from today as it in the interests of the future safety of the majority of law abiding fans as well as their own credibility that they do so.

I doubt very much that they learn any lessons. Your point that they have lost the experience of policing larger crowds is so right. We are getting bigger crowds for the first time in 10 or so years but they cannot cope with it when a large and troublesome away support turns up. As to improving their credibility I really think they do not care about that . There is no transparency for their actions and if questioned they can conveniently fall back under the cloak of strategic silence

They can be where the away fans are though rather than Mold Road where there will be very few. It's not hard to keep away fans together until the masses disperse.
