It is supposed to be the home game nearest to 1st of February as voted for in June 2018 Trust resolutions but as that clashed with the grassroots Youth Football Day it was moved

Absolutely he did. The point I am making is that it wasn't just 1 person.

Yes but chose a different game where there are less idiots likely to spoil it.

You know the sort I mean, think they are being clever but in reality just look stupid. That sort.
Heaven forbid we have such persons on RP.

If we're hoping for promotion then we need to expect more away fans. More fans = bigger risk of disruption. If they can manage such things at Old Trafford et al, I'm sure we can manage it at the Racecourse...

Sorry - but have to disagree.

As stated on other threads - we as a club are not used to it - big clubs, with big police forces deal with these things week in week out.

We go from miniscule away followings with no risk fans game after game - to yesterday - not a massive following but enough idiots within their midst to cause plenty of problems if left unchecked - problem is the infrastructure is not used to it - if we went up to L2 'the system including the policing would improve based on more frequent practice.

Talking about disruption - some may have noticed that yesterday's game clashed with an open day at the University - putting additional strain on parking, facilities, ingress and egress from the University - especially with a 7,000 crowd. Said it before - the club should closely liaise with the University for the benefit of both and the rest of us. It would have been better for the Open day to have been arranged next Saturday or another day to avoid a clash of interests.

You raise a valid point about the conflict between the game and Glyndwr's Open Day. However, I fail to see how even the Stazi or KGB could have stopped fans from both sides being disrespectful, yesterday.

It happened; it will inevitably happen again; it was regrettable; it detracted but did not destroy what the club had organized to commemorate departed fans and friends.

Man Utd constantly suffer when they commemorate the Munich Air Crash; stupid is, what stupid does!

The minute's silence being chosen for the Chesterfield game in hindsight was a baffling one. In two weeks we play Maidstone who never many up, that one would have passed without incident.
