We didn’t have a mandate from members to remain in the National League.

Especially if the members who are responsible for employing the present coaching set up are still in situ.

When the dust settles

Will players at this level have to revise their pay expectations?

In how many other countries do 5th division players get paid what they do here ?

Many clubs will be struggling for cash flow this summer,, surely players should have realistic demands given they are (on the whole) very average football players

Depending on how clubs emerge from this. It may strengthen the arguement for wage cap.

Otherwise your always going to get clubs spending well beyond their means.

I think it strengthens the argument for Financial fair play.

It seems petty to see how this crisis Can benefit is but I do agree that our derided off field comparative financial health could come much more into play in coming months and years where there simply won’t be the money around for financially doped clubs to outspend us to reach the EFL.

BBC News: Huddersfield Town must repay £35m to former owner Dean Hoyle

This could be a catalyst to a load of debt ridden football clubs having to repay their wealthy benefactors.
