Yes its taking a chance but it would be internal investment which even the most staunch WST supporters could not argue (surely).
In reality it would be a good test of their faith in the model How many shares would they all be buying - be an interesting response.

So £100 a share - 200 = £20k, 500 = £50k, just imagine £200k is easily a reasonable target given our membership.
Just half of them at 1 share each is @ £120k.

You would expect the club to pay wages as if a normal player otherwise that would be dead money from the pot IMO.

If the player leaves and we lose money then I guess thats the luck of the draw or the chance everyone takes. I am sure we could have some conditions for a fee at the end though.

We could all make a profit though. Happy to take some of this and give some to the club.
Share price back and 50% profit would do me.

Nice idea in principal if it's permitted.
Downside to me is finding 1000 fans willing to throw away £100 each.
How long would the contract be? 1 year and player leaves at the end. No return. Money lost. Start again.
Who chooses the player, the manager or the buyers (fans)
What if the player is disruptive or alienates the fans?
I appreciate that these are the negatives but I'm playing devils advocate.
This appears to be a build the budget mark 2 or 3.
