I'm not writing McIntosh off completely but why would he be rusty? Played pre season enough times and hasn't been injured and came on in a few games. Not having that. Jazzi should have also been 'rusty' by that measure and he played very well, and bar tiring towards the end was the total opposite.

What his performance told me was more than just being rusty it was the classic look of a player totally out of his depth. Last time I saw similar was other useless players such as Leo Smith, Massanka, Bakare.
I'd say the chances of him looking like a different player after more game time are at about 100-1. When you sign a player from a pub league who even their fans didn't rate... well, do the maths.

Redmond, Harris and Barnum-Bobb have all started at a very high level. They are good players who, with a bit of luck, will develop into very good players for us.
McIntosh showed early promise but then plateaued. He came on as a sub for 5 mins against Barrow, and then sat on the bench. Yes he played during the pre-season games -- he even scored a goal -- but Tuesday was his first full game and he let himself down.
I do not know if he previously played in a 'pub league' but Carl Connolly and Lee Trundle did, and they weren't too bad once they found themselves. I do recognize he faces stiff competition for a starting place, and it is now up to him to knuckle down and prove to BH and the fans what he can do.
You may both be correct that he is another Fondop-Talom; however, being a kindly old sod, I prefer to give him an opportunity to settle and develop.
