Could he get the best out of them? Or will they look at him as the man who preached about being "in it together" all season then walked out on them costing those players win bonus's and the chance of a promotion on their CV and a shot at league football

Those expecting anyone decent to come in and miraculously turn us around are sadly deluded. Under the circumstances, Keates would be a logical choice - cheap, lives locally, and knows how we operate. Get us to somewhere mid table and then try again next season, either him or someone of similar ilk.

Perhaps its a move towards further democracy with the proceedings being broadcast for fans to see and hear if they wish. Be great for fans and creating interest. Wrexham Council do it.

I don't expect this board to have any sort of imagination or knowledge of who else would be available, but I'd hope the fanbase would.

Swapping Hughes for Keates would be a massive kick in the bollocks, for us all.

I have heard the same from a source who’s given me a few pointers over the years. Seemingly Keates has been a regular at wrexham matches of late and can take a job again in October after a 6 month period as part of his contract termination agreement at Walsall.

This would tally up as to why BH hasn’t been sacked yet.
