Default Three football club directors up for election in June 2020

Just looking at the election results from the WST AGM in June 2017 and Spencer Harris, Gavin Jones and John Mills were all re-elected to the board. WST board members can only serve for a maximum of three years and then they have to stand for re-election.

If an EGM doesn’t go ahead, then this is our opportunity to get new blood and fresh ideas on to the board.

Bit like calling the fire brigade a week after your house burned down....

Harris and Mills have to go. No ifs , no buts, both need to be removed from their positions.

I dont really care anymore. They run the club, give up their time and can do what they want.

This is maybe one of the real problems we have, in that a number of FC board members are also WST board members, and of course the WST board elects the members of the FC board.. Perhaps an amendment should be made to the WST constitution, to the effect that no person can sit at any given time on the board of both organisations. I'm no expert on the business world,is it common practice for individuals to sit on the board of a certain company ,whilst sitting on the board of its parent company?.

It's long truck me as odd.The FC board are answerable to the Supporters Trust (as I understand it), where the WST board represents it's members. Therefore, a number of FC board members are effectively answerable directly, to a body on which they themselves sit. Is it any surprise therefore, that some such individuals seem to perceive themselves as being untouchable!.

Perhaps having two boards is not the best way forward?

An alternative could be to have just one board directly managing the football club and the trust.
