Maybe a resolution at an AGM would see it happen. Then our Canadian and Ausie friends would look it and even have an input.

The problem with the idea of a resolution to see it happen is that if the board wanted to do it they could make it happen without a resolution. If they don’t want to do it they could just take forever implementing the resolution.

Adding "compulsion" to voting for Trust members, I don't think it will work. In General Elections (where it is a far more serious topic), we see between 30-80% voting turn out. Some countries fine non voters for their lack of action!
The Football Club scenario reminds me so much of being an active member of my sons PTA at High School. Nearly all the parents had a view on school topics when we met at the school gate, but ask them to attend a PTA meeting and contribute - a different ball game!
We ALL have a view on the future of our club. We want the best outcome, but its become rather like North Korea. The top brass may be listening to our rantings, but they are not offering alternatives. If change is regarded as difficult/impossible then apathy sets in. We may as well sell any remaining assets and walk away!
