Thanks. I reckon he’ll score at least 15 goals next season now 😎

If you want to believe he is on a 12 year contract then good luck to you but you probably also believe 5G mobile masts cause covid
What I don't get, if that is the case, if he's hit a target to trigger a contract extension, why then loan him out after he's done it, rather than before he can trigger it?

I'd bet the typo with which the contract ends is added on to this rumour, the end date a pure guess, it seems more plausible it was until 2021. Spencer Harris has confirmed Grant is here for another season, without actually saying why, which is rather odd.

At a time he seemed to be loaned out to prevent a triggering of a further extension.

Its a good question and one I've thought myself. Maybe we needed him to get as many points as we could with a terrible squad and when Keates was able to bring in better we then let him go? Maybe the number of games was very low and he triggered it already under Hughes?

It is just immoral that the Board are asking for donations/wavering season ticket refunds when they basically hid the truth about Grants contract extension a year ago. They are basically hiding their mistakes and asking the fanbase to remedy the subsequent cashflow gaps.

I get that they will owe confidentiality obligations to BG but I do agree that the cloak and dagger behaviour on this issue and others is making people more minded not to give. I generally always support the club as much as I can financially but I have chosen not to donate to the UTST initiative on this occasion.

The Grant thing has really riled me as his name just appears as under contract with no explanation and contradicting previous information. Redmond I can understand as it was a 2 year deal and most had high hopes for him. It just hasn't worked out and that's one of those things but the Grant saga does need a clear statement.
