Thirdly - and finally - As I stated, I hope Rutherford is confined largely to the bench this coming season,I made no attempt to paint him as a world-beater. He's a good, hard worker, and for me quite proficient in the basics with the ball, but clearly lacks for a little ingenuity.
Ann assist is what it says on the tin - setting someone up for a goal. Whether or not it's a pretty one is immaterial. I'd say it's pretty important for wide players to be chipping in with them. Even if you don't value them, there's a reason they tend to feature behind goals scored for creative/attacking players.

Sums up my feelings too.Surely talent must override the ability to runaround a lot for a professional footballer.

An assist, is only an assist in the if the player you've assisted puts the chance ball in the net..

He won’t be a starter but someone off the bench, not a bad option to come off it. Would rather him than Ruthers anyway

We've had lots of players who have had fans on the edge of their seats ... thinking about standing up and going home

Comments from Dover fans don’t read well
But as always he’ll get full backing when he wears the red shirt

Welcome on board - sounds like its time to show what you’re made of, week in week out
