Re: New Manager
IF!!! this crazy, in a good way takeover goes ahead I don't think these two fellas are just here to take Wrexham out of non league and be competitive in say league 1. I imagine the aim is to go all the way to the promised land, Why would they bother otherwise.
With their financial clout i think that is definitely achievable, but I hope they are patient and have the right person in the managers hotseat for each phase of the journey. No point in lets say bringing in Mark Hughes to get us from non league to league 1. The way Swansea recruited through the divisions on the way to the prem was done perfectly, even when the manager had got to the next stage they found a new one and went to the next level, not sure if im right but it went something like Flynn - Jackett - martinez - Rogers Something like this would be fun for the next few years National league - Keats play off final, everyone back to wembley just as fans are allowed back in to stadiums league 2 - Joe Allan appointed player manager in the twilight of his career taking us up to league 1 League 1 - Mark Hughes takes us from league 1 to the Championship then the promised land the season after. Premier league - Klopp comes out of retirement looking for another challenge |

Re: New Manager
Cowley brother if we could get them here. I keep going on about it but the job they did with Lincoln with a modest investment of cash was incredible.
However i do believe Keates has assembled this squad so should be given a fair crack. On paper and given the circumstances it dosen't look a bad squad.IMHO two or three additional quality players could have us pushing. |

Re: New Manager
I wouldn't want Chris Coleman...he's done nothing at club level management and got lucky inheriting the best Wales side in years. Plus he's only in it for the money ( going to China ffs )
We would require someone used to putting together good sides and able to assemble the core of a league one standard side. |

Re: New Manager
At our level, somebody with knowledge of the lower leagues, contacts, man management skills and motivation is required to achieve success.
We have had a make-do attitude for years, hence our long stay in this division. Somebody that aims to be “the best at what he does” will sincerely guide us to the promised land. Keates will no doubt blow the 2 mill on darlo 5 days a week and Andy Cooks wages. |
