Re: We’ve made Bloomberg lads
So is the only interest they have in buying us because they want to make a documentary? Nothing else...
What happens when the documentary has run its course? Don't get me wrong I voted 'yes' but I thought from their presentation that they wanted to do more than just a documentary about the Club. This news article basically says its all about the documentary and nowt else or have I read it wrong? Whatever happens its got to be better than where we are now! |

Re: We’ve made Bloomberg lads
Thats really interesting. The thing about Wrexham as a documentary project is that there are scope for multiple seasons, particularly if we start getting promotions. The knock on effects of that could be that we gain a whole load of new, international fans. That leads to greater scope for merchandising as well as things like streaming and other online revenue. Reynolds is into Marketing and I think this is his primary interest with us (I get the feeling Rob is a sports fan and he's more interested on the on field side). But if he can grow the brand that also grows the club and helps on the side we are einterested in as fans. And its not necessarily a short team thing either, there is huge scope in the medium and long term.
As an aside mentioning international fans, I notice that Stockport County are getting 8k streaming figures, and they are putting that down to Chinese viewers. I remember years ago playing SC in the league and there was a big spread about them having a Chinese team and trying to crack the Chinese Market back in the 90s. The team don't exist anymore but obviously there is some legacy to that left! |

Re: We’ve made Bloomberg lads
Reading that brings into context what we're getting ourselves into.It actually makes me nervous but excited at the same time
The takeover is currently a pipe dream until another 4 days pass but we are already news in every corner of the world and everyone wants to be part of this. Once that ballot result is known we could be stepping on the worlds fastest football rollercoaster. I need a sit down ! |
