The right wing has moved a lot further right over recent years though, so I can see why you have that view.

Anything moderate like being in favour of the NHS, or the BBC, or the welfare state, or close relations with our European neighbours - despite those being part of the post war national consensus supported by both Labour and the Tories up until recent times - is now made out to be left wing.
The Guardian is left of centre so surely that makes it left wing (not far left!)

I would say that you can be left of centre, support the NHS and the welfare state and still believe in Brexit whilst retaining close links with our European neighbours.

I know some find that hard to fathom because it doesn't fit in with their understanding of 'left' and 'right' and they struggle with the concept but there you go.

The Guardian is pretty centrist, IMO.

I do indeed struggle with the concept of Brexit being in any way, shape, or form 'left-wing' - even more so as the months and years pass, and we can increasingly see what damage Brexit will do to the working class of this country.

However, I had that debate endlessly in off-topic a few years ago so not much point revisiting now!

As one who can vouch for it (thanks to an older lady when I was a young man) all I can say is that the end result (she said) was more comparable to a female orgasm than anything I was ever likely to experience again.
She was right, the closest I ever got to transcending those evenings with her was with the use of purest MDMA.......
I think of her sometimes.........

I’m not really into politics and certainly wouldn’t have an argument about it. That is my view but I respect yours too.
