Morrell did well but on the face of it all, he was a gamble with not much experience which ultimately showed.

Bryan Hughes & Graham barrow absolute huge gambles of the lot, absolute nonsense appointments and failed miserably.
Keates - he’s been a gamble both times, decent first time with awful football got away with 1-0’s. This time it’s speaks for itself.

So my question is why? Why have the board been allowed for so long, to mess us about with these idiotic appointments. We can throw hate as much as we like at the managers, but half of us would never say no or resign in Keates case. The real questions & “hatred” should go towards the board & the board only. The spineless, lying, useless b*****ds. None of them at all should be allowed to be part of the current regime. They’ve held us back for way to long. Every other club who’s come down has pretty much gone back up within a few years, it shows our failings solely on the board for picking and choosing their mates.

All boils down to the 400 idiots voting for the board.

He was without a doubt a gamble, everyone knew about his drinking antics before he came & ultimately carried it on here. He was very much disliked & from all them managers I’d definitely say he was hated by a lot of fans.

Irony in Morrell’s case is that success comes down to such fine margins, if we’d have won the playoff final vs Newport then Morrell would have been a Wrexham legend

He did fairly well I thought, I didn’t mind him at all. His ultimate failings was in the transfer market it seemed.

Tranmere picked up the phone and got to know about his issues and walked away, a manager shouldn't need a bloody mary before getting on a bus.

The Gary Mills farce could have been avoided if the board did their research. It seemed like a coup because the average peasant fan like me and you probably didn't know about his issues. But the club board would have had the connections to find out. They didn't. Or perhaps they did and ignored the warnings anyway.

They did know about it. Barry Horne used his contacts to find out about Mills and advised against hiring him. Spencer and Having thought they knew better than Horne. Horne eventually resigned because his opinions were overlooked so frequently by the egotistical board
