Ratings vs Halifax
Kelleher 7 Vassell 7 RHJ. 7 Davies 6. - looked tired in second half Horsfield 7 Harris 7 - won plenty of the ball, shooting not what it used to be though Jarvis 5 Young 5 Adi Yusseff 4 Doesent look threatening and link up play is also poor Ponticelli. 4 as above, one decent turn in the second half that won a FK , but generally gives an easy time for the opposition Durrell - looked bright coming on against a tiring side Thomas. - offered more than JP

WREXHAM were held to a dour goalless draw with Halifax Town following another uninspiring performance. The Reds were beaten 2-1 at Chesterfield on Saturday but this time gained a point because the Shaymen also failed to create much in front of goal. Dean Keates' side failed to have a shot on target all match while Reds' goalkeeper Rob Lainton made one save of note during a forgettable contest. The positive for Wrexham was keeping a clean sheet after conceding two poor goals at the weekend. Here's how the players rated: ROB LAINTON: Saved the only real chance of the first half, wasn't troubled after the break. 6 JAMES HORSFIELD: Limited the visitors to only a couple of shots throughout the match. 6 FIACRE KELLEHER: Solid in the middle of the back three as Reds kept a clean sheet. 6 THEO VASSELL: Held firm when Halifax looked dangerous when they got near the Wrexham box. 6 REECE HALL-JOHNSON: Wrexham's man of the match was up and down the right wing, attacking whenever he got the chance. 6 JAY HARRIS: Put in a good shift as both teams cancelled each other out. 5 LUKE YOUNG: Wasn't afraid to get a shot away and composed on the ball. 6 JORDAN DAVIES: Some neat passes but kept more on the back-foot than Hall-Johnson. 6 DAN JARVIS: Put himself about in the free role but lacked an end product. 5 JORDAN PONTICELLI: Struggled to impose himself in the Reds attack. 5 ADI YUSSUF: Not a lot came off for Yussuf who had a frustrating night. 5 KWAME THOMAS: Unable to make an impact. 4 ELLIOTT DURRELL: A late substitute. 4 |

Re: Ratings vs Halifax
"JAY HARRIS: Put in a good shift as both teams cancelled each other out. 5"
How can you put in a good shift and only get 5? Imagine your boss rated a piece of work you'd done... "Yeah you put in a good shift there, 5/10" So not really a good shift then. |
