Any Club looking for a new manager and seeing the last 15 games or so may well think Dean Keates is a strong contender. This is also the time in the season he likes to leave Clubs in the poo. - I have no one to talk to over the garden fence so I don't know anything but logic would suggest that we already have agreed a replacement for Dean, promotion or not. These new owners surely see this position as essential to success and they won't leave it to chance.

Once again I find myself agreeing with you. They have long term plans which they will only share with their doting public when they are ready . To coin a very well used word of our Black Country team boss they will "look" for someone who is both good in fronting the players and in front of a camera. Which Keates never will be , the last one at least.
We have truly entered the show biz world at Wrexham FC where social media is king and is as important as the football. Not saying it will not work but when I read on here of exciting times ahead and the like, yours truly will only be happy when he is back inside the ground watching live football and goals which sometimes go into the net at the right end.

The doc and marketing is very important but if Dean Keates was crap on camera and kept winning 1-0 they wouldn't sack him. Football remains #1

You make it sound like everybody else doesn't want that. It's just nice to have some optimism going forward both on and off the pitch.

That is not always true, Mark Hughes was doing great at Man City, but they sacked him, reason he wasn't high profile enough for the owners. We are obviously not in that company, but the two Rs are definitely wanting high profile in their outlook for the club, that is why Keates in my mind is not the man to lead Wrexham forward.

Even in this division we have seen Gannon at Stockport, Smith at Bromley and Ardley at Notts County all get sacked whilst their teams are in the play off positions, because the owners felt the club needed taking in different directions.
