Halifax are hopefully not as good as the last 3 opponents — although Caergwrle Girl Guides could probably do us at the moment — but tonight’s challenge has the potential to be 4 defeats on the bounce. Counter to earlier calls, that wouldn’t be very good form.

Where does Keates go tonight? We have signed these new players to see whether they are good enough. Marsh-Brown clearly is, and I hope Green starts tonight. The ‘sands of time’ are running out for Keates & Co, and Wrexham. Our chances of making the POs diminish after every defeat.

Will we turn the tide tonight? Great if we did, but the evidence suggests otherwise unless Keates ditches the ridiculous 3-5-2 and picks a simpler, more effective team and formation.

Sadly, unless one or more of our new signings are genuine shaman with powerful medicine...

I'd never bet against Wrexham, but Halifax at 5/4 look the best odds I've seen on anything for a while.

The Shay is never a happy hunting ground for us, and they have been welcoming back a number of injured players in recent weeks which has reflected in improving results.

I believe Summerfield made a cameo appearance on Saturday and is likely to be playing tonight. Most Halifax fans say he has been a revelation for them since signing, and makes their entire team tick.

Would like to think differently, but I'm afraid I can't see anything but another defeat coming up. 2-0 Halifax.
