A quick plug to say that the new episode of the Wrexham Legends Lounge pod is now available - featuring Part 2 of an extensive natter with former Town mainstay, Gareth Owen.

Here, Gaz talks about his final years at Wrexham, his testimonial against Man Utd, THAT Burnley game in nets, interest in him from Leeds, his post-Wrexham career, playing Champions League football, his current role with the Welsh FA, takes fan questions and picks a Wrexham XI of his 12+ years at the club.

Excellent! Always loved watching Gaz and he seems a nice guy. Some good memories, including the time he kept goal away to Burnley, I was there! Possibly his finest hour! We couldn't believe it when he went in goal but he was brilliant that day.

Yeah, class player. Guess I was spoiled watching wrexham back then, although I didn't think so at the time! Owen, Brammer, Ward, Yosser, we had some amazing midfielders.

Ha! Absolutely brilliant! Yep, turns out he's definitely weighing it up.

As for what Pricey said, I definitely think we were spoilt back then when you look back at it. Even when Flynnie was playing three CMs, you still had to pick a three from Gareth Owen, Peter Ward, Kevin Russell, Dave Brammer, Bryan Hughes and Waynne Phillips.

Even the year after, with Yozzer gone, there was Mark Wilson brought in for part of the season. And what a player he was!
