Not sure why we need to rush into a decision for a new manager. The Trust generally took an age to decide who the cheapest option was. R and R will want to make sure they get this decision right.

The club clearly have a good idea how the team should look next season hence the retained list being what it is. There’s a few surprises on there for me but nothing to suggest things aren’t going well behind the scenes. It’s disappointing Pearson has left, but I don’t think he was worth a 2 year deal. Vassell and Kelleher can be improved on given our new found wealth so why the panic? What really intrigues me is who we fetch in upfront and in midfield. We will find out exactly how serious we are about promotion with the players we sign to fill in the gaps further up the pitch.
