I am still paying my direct debit to the wst, what happens to this now? Do I stop paying ? I’m sure I’m a bit naive here but would welcome ( sensible) advice please

I cancelled mine. I assume the money you’re paying just goes and sits in their bank account.

If you don’t want to keep paying into the Trust then you’d best cancel.

Once the takeover was agreed, I cancelled my direct debit as I saw no further need for WST to be involved and no need for funding.

I’m guessing most of these questions will be answered at the next AGM, which must be due soon.

We are in an entirely new set of circumstances now so the trusts aims need to be entirely re-evaluated to correspond to the new reality. I’ll remain a member at least until the way forward for WST is clearer.

If anyone has ideas how the Trust should use remaining funds then they should propose them as resolutions to be voted on at the next AGM.

It is ultimately up to the members what happens to the funds and aims.
