I beg to differ. When the song was first played at the Racecourse, most people seemed to agree that the message of defiance and survival that the song carries, was very apt for the club, given its recent history. The song hasn't become any less relevant to WAFC, just because a couple of Hollywood faces have bought the rights to the name.

Other songs 'apt for their time' were

Trigger trigger trigger ... shoot that ......

but we now live in different times, do you still want to live in THAT past ...

Scotland went mad for the disco classic, yes sir i can boogie in the euros. Seen plenty still wearing the t shirts up there last week. Maybe, ain't no stopping us now would work for us. Check out the lyrics, they are certainly quite apt in our current position. Average age of our long standing supporters means, sadly, most of us remember the song.

Embarrassing post. It may not be the ideal tune for rousing a football crowd and I wouldn't be sad to see it go even though it has a huge cultural significance for Wales, but to conflate it to racist chants of the past is just moronic.
