With just 11 games (+ Aldershot) to play until the window re-opens I was thinking that the likelyhood is that we will be needing to pay top dollar for any players we sign.

They will obviously need to be quality but they will also need to be already playing first team football because we can't afford the 2 months of gaining "match fitness"

We are going to get ripped off for sure but I see no other choice if we have any ambitions this season

My guess is we already know who we are after. Any fee could easily beat the £200k we paid for Tozer

Agree we need at least 2 new midfielders, a back up forward and potentially a goalkeeper if we are going to be going for it after Christmas. The next 5 games are vital as we need to keep in touch with the leading pack. My concern is that we may be that far off the pack in January, we will be playing catch up just for a play off place.

Also how long will the owners give Parkinson if we are not up with the front runners come the end of November / early December.

Clubs always have to pay over the odds in January, if the player is worth having.

Hopefully we can use the Webster Ruling in this window to our advantage, as unethical as it may seem.

At least 2 central midfielders required, and ideally another striker alongside a creative midfielder.

Our usual approach is to sell (Obeng/Fowler)

I reckon we should do what has been done to us in the past...poach a couple of players from one or two of our rivals. Strength us and weaken them, as Fleetwood did to us in 2012.

Alex Hunt from Grimsby would be a great example of this. On loan from Sheff Weds until January and ran the show when we played them. Good player.
