Just to flag in case anyone read that as Jubilee line from Euston to Canons Park…Jubilee doesn’t go from euston, you’ll first need to get Victoria line from euston to green park, or northern line from euston to London Bridge, then Jubilee line at one of those to Canons Park (or Queensbury).

Hopefully still there and open, there’s a big bar in the away stand at the ground that has TVs showing the footy. Think centenary Club but actually good.

Played a charity game on the 4G at The Hive a couple of years ago. Bit of a non-descript area but the Hive Bar at the club was quite swish....heard that the one at the away end is similar.

Aside from that there's not a lot nearby:

"Away supporters are treated to their own bar within the stadium, which is located behind the North Stand. This spacious bar has a large screen showing Sky Sports. The bar is open throughout the game and for a short time after the final whistle. The only downside is that the beer is served in plastic glasses.

There is also the Hive Bar at the stadium but this is for home fans only. The nearest pub is Moranos on Station Road, only a short walk from Canons Park Underground Station (come out of the station, turn right and it is in the row of shops further down on the right). This Irish themed wine bar is quite comfortable and has a number of large screens showing the early kick off on BT Sport. It is then only around a 10 minute walk to the away turnstiles, cutting through the playing fields (see by Tube below).

Quite close to Kingsbury Tube Station there is a Wetherspoons pub called JJ Moons (which will be familiar to many who have travelled to Wembley Stadium which is not far away). If travelling on the Jubilee Line from Central London, then Kingsbury is only two stops before Canons Park. The address of the pub is 553 Kingsbury Road. Simply turn left out of the station and the pub is down on the left."

If you are coming from Euston much the quickest way to do it is to walk (about 3-4mins) to Euston Square. Get a Metropolitan line train from there northbound and change at Finchley road (it's the next platform and easy) for the northbound Jubilee line to Canons Park.

Morano's is decent but pretty small that's the only downside. The away end bar area is the best in the division and the away end wouldn't be out of place at League 1 level or so.

London Reds are meeting at Baker Street Wetherspoons at 11ish if anyone fancies it should be plenty of Reds there. Only a 15minute tube journey or so then to Canons Park so handy. There are several options in West Hampstead (Railways would be my pick) or Kilburn (North London Tavern would be my pick) as well going up the Jubilee line.

Barnet have scored more goals than us but have let in considerably more.

Barnet’s results have picked up lately but that is against other teams near the bottom on the table. Hopefully we can get a result

Yes you're absolutely right, apologies for not being clearer.

I would also agree with michaelps, best way is to walk to Euston Square (less than 5 mins away), get the Metropolitan line westbound to Wembley Park, then Jubilee line northbound to Canons Park.

Also good pointer from joe re: going from Crewe to Euston, as you usually have to Change from Chester to Crewe anyway as direct services have reduced, and will help save. Avanti prices are ridiculous.

Taking a load of my London-based mates to their first (any probably last if recent performances are to go off) Wrexham match. Going to JJ Moons Wetherspoons in Kingsbury, just 2 stops before on the Jubilee line, which away day guide say is a good one nearby for cheap drinks pre-match.

Nice set-up at Barnet.

We should win this one.

Plenty of ace trips to Barnet over the years...some cracking pubs on the High Street finishing with a bladder busting walk down the hill to the Old Red Lion right by the ground.

I may be stating the obvious here but the 'new' ground is not in Barnet. In fact its nowhere near. Its about 7 miles away and in that there London traffic on a Saturday afternoon that journey will take a while.

The old Underhill ground is now a secondary school and the Red has been demolished and replaced by a bog ugly block of flats.

Shame.

Remember going to underhill back in the 90s. Losing 1-0, Connolly equalising and then Benno being put through yards offside and scoring the winner.

Happy days.
