We need to be careful with expectations here - are we going to be signing a player who is scoring plenty and happy in a settled team?
Are we going to be signing a player who has captained his side for 15 games in League 1 this season? FGR are top of the league - are they really going to sell? If they do we will no doubt have our pants pulled down quite spectacularly. Mangan says as much in the latest FiD podcast. We'll be getting a midfielder who won't be in favour in his opinion. More likely to be signing out of favour players, ones close to the end of a contract (T Lowery). Joe Piggott signed a 3 year deal in the summer. You're looking at £100ks just to buy out the contract there. No saying it won't happen, but let's remember what we've seen so far and what Harvey said.

Wasn't it rumoured that we came close to signing Callum Guy, from Carlisle, on deadline day in August?
If so, I wonder if we'll go back there for him. I know he signed an extended contract with them, but that could be Carlisle making sure they get more for him.
