Default Yeovil Match Ratings

After a very very poor first half where we were dominated, they were first to every ball but thankfully second half improved. My match ratings are as follows,

Lainton 6 not a vast amount to do and could of done better with goal whilst watching live.

RHJ 4 another poor game especially first half and provided zero quality going forward
Hossanah 5 needs to play on the right, he hasn’t got a left foot and very predictable what he is going to do cutting inside.

Tozer 5 dreadful first half, letting men run off him and got caught countless times with the ball over Lennon’s head.
Hayden 4 again poor first half, diving in in positions where he didn’t need to be winning the ball and brushed off countless times.
Lennon 6 solid game but looks like the back 3 were asked to play wider as the wing backs pushed higher and wider.

Young 5 anonymous first half and crab slow balls second but the team as a whole played better second half.
Davies 5 caught in possession countless times and always looking for the Hollywood ball.
Jones 5 same as Young and Davies.

Mullin 7 poor first half and miles off the pace, should of scored before he did but a wonderful finish.
Kwarme 3 dreadful performance regardless of fitness, watching him warm up scuffing every shot was bad enough but rightly hooked at half time.

Subs

Ponticelli 8 MOM changed the game with his desire and shown the hopeless Kwarme how to hold the ball up and being others into play but still not good enough.
McAlinden 8 a accidental miracle, came on out of position and worked tirelessly winning the ball back and providing a assist and put a few decent balls across goal and liked his directness.

All in all a happy onelovewrexham despite a long journey and a grim first half but still well in the mix, Ryan and Rob open your cheque book lids.

McAlinden played all of last season in that position for Morecambe, no idea why it's taken until now to play him in that position given the fact he's on a 2yr deal.

Ponch and McAlinden were superb. Completely changed the game for the better.

I'd love us to have a decent target man alongside Mullin, with Ponticelli brought on around the hour mark if we're chasing the game.

You gave each player an average of 5 and we won

Lainton 6 - Personally think he could have done better for the goal, maybe it’s just me. Sound apart from that.

RHJ 5 - doesn’t seem to have that threat he did last season
Hayden 5 - woeful first half much better second
Tozer 5 - see above
Lennon 6 - best of the three
Hosannah 4 - unfortunately thought he had a stinker today, i’d like to see him on the right though as he has some ability

Young 5 - did he play the first half? Was completely missing. Better second, got involved more
Jones 6 - see above but slightly better second half
Davies 6 - again ineffective first half, a lot of things didn’t work for him today. Gets an extra mark for the second goal though

Mullin 7 - missing first half, really good second half, much more like the form we saw before December. Cracking goal and could’ve had a couple more
Thomas 2 - going to refrain from comment but gets an extra mark for going close with a header from a Tozer throw in

Ponticelli 8 - been a critic of his this season but he was quality today, some superh touches; inteligent running, work rate, stretched their defence, and some clever “game management” to see it out in stoppage time
McAlinden 8 - was direct, wasn’t afraid to get into tackles, and put a couple of really dangerous balls in. Pleasantly suprised and impressed with him today

I was just making an observation. I've not got the footballing nouse / expertise / qualifications / experience to rank each and every individual player to the nearest 10%.

Are you going to comment on Joe’s post aswell? Another with a 5 average after a win.
