Bloody love watching Marty's videos with some classic tunes playing in the background. Really glad he made it over.

Would have been good to learn why he's known as Moody Martin. Is it because supporting Wrexham for so long has led to mild depression or is he just a miserable bugger?

He seems quite chirpy to me.

He's a big fan of the Moody Blues, unfortunately that's all there is to it, ha.

As someone not from Wrexham, I also find it quite baffling how much some locals knock the town. Mostly decent working class people and some fantastic areas. It's not a bad place at all, I love working with the Wrexham people.

I'm still able to visit occasionally and I usually like what I see. My Canadian wife just loves the area.

Most people yearn for the Wrexham town of our youths - the buzzing markets, the overpowering smell from the brewery when you came out of the Vogue cinema to get something from the Bake & Take, the Beast Market etc etc. Thats all gone now of course.

Wrexham has been the victim of some awful planning decisions such as Eagles Meadow. People sprawled on pavements by spice hasn't helped. I remember seeing that for the first time after I got a bus from a hotel in Rossett once and being speechless. The town centre has been hit by out of town developments but you could say that about anywhere in the UK.

But people make the place and Wrexham is one of the friendliest places you'll find. On our doorstep there's some amazing places to visit.

Lots of chat this week about R&R having a bigger mission where the town gets regenerated on the back of the football club. Would love to see that happen in my lifetime.

Probably because he hasn’t had to watch us in the last 44 years!

Fair point.

Love the way that the club made a big fuss of him coming over. Slightly disappointed not to see him leading the team out v Maidstone but then I saw something on social media that he arrived at the Turf for opening time so probably a good thing.
