Default Re: Ratings vs Maidenhead

Howard 6 - Should have paid to watch

Hoshanna 6 - will need games which hes not going to get

Tozer Hayden Tunnicliffe 7 - Solid will get us promoted so much better since Tunnicliffe has come into thr team. Probably shown that Cleworth was the problem.

Forde - 7 does alot of work of the ball that goes unnoticed

Young - 7 Played well need to take this form away from home

Lee - 5 sometimes i think i watch a different game thought he poor tried to force things to many times

Jones 7 - Worked hard and coved every where

Plamer 6 - Looked tired and not up for it.

Mullin 5 - Poor give him a break on Sunday looked tired also.

5 for Mullin , he chased everything well worth a 7

He did work hard I grant you but I also thought he looked tired and would not give him a 7 personally and certainly not the same mark as Young Jones and the defence.

Tozer 7 - loves the free role and fair play for his bravery
Tunnicliffe - 8 didn’t miss a header in the first half and hope his injury isn’t too serious

Forde 7 - another decent performance & did as much as anyone to get us on the front foot, especially in the 2nd half
Jones 7- nothing fancy but moved around the midfield to cover changes in defence
Young 9 - Young was absolutely brilliant and didn’t shirk a challenge against a stubborn opponent.
Hosannah 7- took his chance well. Wanted him to attack a bit more but didn’t let anyone down

Lee 7 - always on the front foot and whilst it didn’t always come off, he was a thorn in Maidenhead’s side

Mullin 8 - ran his socks off but oh that penalty
Palmer - 8 left it all on the pitch and gave their centre backs a torrid night

Subs
TO’C - shored up the back line when Tunny went off
Mcalinden - worker hard down the left and almost created a 2nd
Davies - decent and gives us great balance on the left

Parky said they were resolute and stubborn and so they proved.

A mention for their goalkeeper who had the game of his life.

Thought Hayden deserved an 8 but go with the rest.

As for Mullin missing the pen - always back him to score these but the goalkeeper positioned himself perfectly off centre and invited Mullin to fire to the right, which he did and in his defence he needed to get it as close to the post as he could.

Just topped off an excellent display by their goally!

If he misses one all season just glad it's in a game where it didn't matter in the end

Every time Devonshire plays us it's as if he's determined to make us pay for knocking his beloved West Ham out of the Cup in 1981 when they were the holders after about 3 replays

He did have to fire to the right but using the Turf as a marker was a mistake

not on the score sheet - could easily have had a couple - but I'd still be giving Mullin a 7 , his work rate is incredible

Lot's of people ( rightly ) calling out Young for his incredible work rate , but the work Mullin puts in is right up there ( as is Jones for that matter ) ....More often than not ,, if you work harder than the opposition , you win - if you work harder than them and you have more quality , that's the kind of thing that wins you leagues
