Doubt they'd stream on a delay after then even if allowed as there'd likely be very little demand and the free highlights would be out a few hours after.
With luck the blackout rule will be gone by 2024.

Why with luck? The rule is there to protect attendances. Why do you want to move to more TV power??

Streaming power is with the clubs, and it’s 2022, not 1962.

Can someone confirm, are 19:45 mid week league matches subject to the 'blackout' rule too, or can we expect to be able to stream them here in the UK?

No, BT were due to broadcast our 7.45 match on Wednesday.

.... and that is the complicating matter in all this streaming lark. BT Sport have paid up-front for rights (and thus funding the league), so they expect their rights to be exacted.

That said, as others have mentioned, a VPN will get you around the limitations if you want to pay a tenner a game.

Just realised my answer was a bit ambiguous. The no referred to the first part - there is no uefa blackout on midweek games.

The only UK restrictions are on Saturdays and when bt shows a match

It does feel like we were somewhat teased by having that great match at Eastleigh streamed, only for it to cease.

What was the point of streaming in the UK to begin with?

Because games can still be streamed midweek?

I think it’s 100% right that games can’t be streamed at 3pm on Saturdays and hopefully it continues for long in the future, glad the club support that.
