Why do we need to sort a striker in the next week or so? NL don’t abide by the general transfer window.

None of which fill me with confidence, Lainton ability wise, but not fitness wise.

I wouldn't want Howard between the sticks if we were to drop in to playoffs.

If he can’t see it then he doesn’t deserve to be in charge. It’s blindingly obvious

I was impressed with Bickerstaff at Altrincham. Why not leave him on the bench and bring him on when we are winning 3 -0 at home. He certainly has ability. How good he is only time will tell. He will gain in confidence and have better players providing the service. Players like that are our future.

While people talk about Bickerstaff not being proven in the league, i struggle to see why he could do it against teams in our league in the cup, but not in the league. Forgetting his finishing, he looks like he has pace and that’s what we need to see some of these games out. Is he suddenly going to be slower because it’s a league match?

Some times the only way to know is to throw young players in and see how they handle it.

Bickerstaff is certainly playing full of confidence since scoring a brace in the last reserve game and 3 in the Trophy, but probably not ideal to go into league games at the minute where the pressure is on to win every game.

Hopefully he will make the bench (7 subs) on Sunday and maybe get some minutes to show what he can do.

Can name 9 subs (and use 5) in the FA Cup.

Bickers was on the bench for Coventry.

True, I forgot it was 9, doesn't seem too long ago we went from 1 sub to 3.

Palmer didn't look right when he came on for the last bit of the game Saturday. Wouldn't be surprised to see Bickerstaff on the bench Tuesday with Palmer rested.
