I think if Palmer is fully fit then he needs to start, but Dalby needs to get more minutes. PP has been using him increasingly and hopefully trusts him enough to bring him on earlier and even as a straight swap, if need be, to either of the front 2, regardless of the score at the time.

Dalby is a great option off the bench after Ollie has beaten them up for 80 mins
Agreed. I can’t believe the calls to drop Palmer. Dalby is doing a really good job on the role we are asking him to do, but I don’t think that means we need to change things.

Don't think it's a case of 'dropping Palmer', just that he is trying to get fully match fit for the more demanding games. At the moment, Palmer is not as effective as he can be.

He's knocking on the door and that can only be a good thing in terms of keeping Palmer motivated. Thought Palmer played alright yesterday, although there's a new theory going round on Twitter that his clothing business is distracting him. I have no words frankly.

He did start against Coventry and scored after 12 mins (with a trademark header), so he's shown that it's not just tiring defences that he's good against.
If Parkinson wanted to rest Palmer to help his niggling injury heal, then Dalby is ready. It would be a different type of game though and would need a fully fit Mullin.

You can’t play 4-3-3 if you only have 3 principal attackers in the squad. When we played that way under Saunders and Morrell, we had 5 or 6 options up front.

That will give him loads of confidence.
