Just look at the PPG table in the Like for Like sticky thread. It's updated after every Wrexham game and has been for several years 🙂

Sorry to re-visit this old issue but the problem was to only consider the points GAINED by Wrexham (23). For the Magic Number, you also have to add in the points LOST by Notts C. in the event of a draw with Wrexham (2). So, the Magic Number for your scenario is 25 (where Wrexham reaches 114 versus NC's maximum possible of 112 points). This is one more than the required Magic Number of 24, where Wrexham are guaranteed to win with 113 points.

RP is a great repository of information.
As it grows bigger, it's inevitable that it's going to be difficult to find stuff.
I've seen the magic number in the like for like but I'd completely forgotten about it.
Great idea to put it in the thread btw
