County have fewer minutes to play - just 420 of them, and 90 of those are against us, at the Racecourse where we have been pretty much invincible.

It is actually 720 mins to play for us.

They have 630 mins to play.

How many of those goals were really Howard's sole responsibility?
How many points did those goals cost us in truth?

I think that is an overly simplistic way of looking at it.

For whats its worth I've never criticised Howard on social media. Nor in the stadium. And I will support whoever we have in goal.

But we have to be honest and say he simply isnt good enough. He doesnt make enough saves. Considering we havent conceded many this season. There are plenty of examples where a better keeper saves them. The freekick against Farnborough is case in point. Abysmal goalkeeping.

The last minute goal against Aldershot is another classic example. Yet the team dragged him out of it. As they did against Eastleigh.

They couldnt drag him out of it against Chesterfield away or Maidenhead away. For a team who dont drop many points. He's been involved in a large % of those.

Do we honestly believe we wouldnt have been 5 nil down against Sheff Utd with him goal. Does he make that save agaisnt Chesterfield?

I feel like we are, where we are in spite of his poor keeping this season. For all the money spent on this team. We should be better at the position.

There is a reason he was let go by Carlisle. I am privy to those reasons. And its not a secret. He has declined due to age and is not at the standard anymore.

It's the 4th Thursday of March which is tomorrow. Depending on how it falls of a year it can be the last Thursday of March but not this time.

I don't think it's the last opportunity to sign anyone, but I think the "has to be out of contract before the transfer window shut" rule applies after today, similar to what we had to put up with in previous season. Although granted someone who nobody wants by March probably isn't someone we'd want.

Keep up ER. The second keeper isn't good enough. We need someone to play the last 8 games not be 4th choice
