Looks as if it's bus replacement again today. Trainline saying 13.30 gets in at 15.19.
It's going to be 12.51 via Hamilton Square and Chester getting in at 14.29 for me.

what is going on with the line at the moment? Not needed the train for a while but was wanting to use it Saturday.

Long time lurker here. I am resident in W Kirby and have been lucky enough to win the Ticketmaster lottery to get a seat on Saturday 😆. I was also going to catch train but will drive now...CBA with bus replacement etc. So if a couple of Wirral lads want to jump in for a lift, then feel free to get in touch 😁

Been off for over four weeks now, their excuse is they’ve got no rolling stock (actual trains) for the line.

I only know cos I was off to Liverpool for an all dayer a fortnight ago, and discovered the trains were all cancelled. Ended up driving in, and stopping over.
So much for reducing our carbon footprint and using public transport eh. The infrastructure is still utterly crap, no wonder we all insist on having a car.
No sign of the wirral line Bidston to Wrexham coming back online anytime soon either.

Over the last few weeks there has been trains intermittently but a lot of rail replacement buses and the occasional cancellation. The excuse/reason I have heard a few times is "staff shortages". There was a late morning Wrexham to Bidston train yesterday and it was one of the fancy new ones.

They seem to use a few different coach companies for the rail replacement buses. The company after the match on Tuesday night were crap. They sent a 16 seater minibus. There were about 20 of us there. We all piled on and the driver said they couldn't move with more than 16 people on board. The driver phoned their manager who said another bus would come in 10 minutes to pick up the extra passengers. No one got off. Eventually, after half an hour, another mini bus turned up and some passengers transferred. The second mini bus was driven by the manager who said he didn't know there was a match that night and was surprised that there had been a big crowd at a Wrexham game!

Haven't they taken the trains to the Cardiff Metro, because they're short of rolling stock in the valleys..
