I also think that if Foster stays Howard may stay also -this could be down to if Lainton usable to come back - his injuries must reach the point where he can't carry on eventually.

If Foster stays , I can't see us brining in another top keeper - unless it's on the basis that Foster has breaks built into his contact allow him to do other things at times
There is absolutely no way PP will let Foster stay on a contract when he isn’t always available, unless it was something like Papa John games. I personally think we need to be looking for the keeper to take us through the next 5 years.

That’s just it though isn’t it… cannon in a much better player, as is jones. I’m not saying there isn’t a place in the squad for Luke, but he won’t be playing much next season IMO. Same with Davies. It’s more up to them I’m guessing if they are happy accepting bit-part roles next season.

I'd agree with the long term option - but if Foster wants to stay , he will and that long term option will be pushed out another year

Agreed.

We are bound to add more quality to the squad in the summer, I just don't see how Young gets a game unless there are injuries and suspensions, and even then they would need to be multiple.

If he were made available, I could easily see him going to an Oldham, Chesterfield, County etc next season to spearhead a non league promotion campaign with a juicy contract that such a move would create.

As I said on the LMT yesterday, I don't think we'll see him in a Wrexham shirt again.

I’d be happy for Foster to stay another season, he soon got back to match fitness, commands his area, not afraid to go for crosses and quickly gets us on the attack, and of course huge experience.

Gives us time to plan the future for that position.

I think JD may be in a better position than Young as he has had injuries and is younger. I don’t agree with them accepting bit part roles, I hope both have the mentality to believe they can play if they perform.

Nothing is long term in football. I wouldn’t be surprised to see foster, Lainton and Howard back next season.

I suspect if Foster stays , so does Howard ...... lainton , I think it really comes down to the injuries , he's brilliant , but the wrist injury nearly finished his career - how many more injuries can his body take and carry on playing

JD has age on his side, but his performances have generally been average at best this season - I’d argue young has performed much better. As Sparky has said we’ll probably strengthen again in the summer as well. I hope they fight for their places but I really don’t see either of them pushing the players in front of them for a starting spot. They have contracts so it will be very much up to them as to whether they want to continue in bit-part roles.

I read on twitter a comment about us ‘having more time on the ball next season’. Really? We’ll be playing against stronger, fitter and quicker players so surely it is completely the opposite.
