Default New Training Ground

Any updates on a potential new training ground? It seems to have gone quiet on that front.

With the way the club is growing, we definitely need a permanent base.

Have heard a site has been identified. In fairness, we've got all kinds of infrastructure schemes on the go so can understand if it doesn't get sorted straight away.

While I absolutely agree this needs sorting out , have to say that training seems to have gone pretty well this season !

Carden Park? can think of worse places to be every day.

Part of the reason we have a decent chance of signing players like Ben Foster is that he stays at Carden Park on Fridays (on expenses currently), gets room service meals with unlimited ketchup and then its a scenic 20 mins drive to the ground on matchdays. Decent golf after training if you fancy a quick 18. Not a bad life.

Colliers Park is rarely used in the day. There must be a reason why we can’t share it. Such a waste of a resource.

I believe the FAW charge very extortionate rates to rent it by the hour.

Also when they have internationals which ever national team that are playing in the North would take precedence over Wrexham. So about 1 in 5 weeks they would need to be at Carden Park anyway

I thought the opportunity to use an extended Stansy had been missed or discounted by the club.

They where looking for a 30 acre site, can be too many of those in the Wrexham area - maybe were the Rugby Club are?

Up until about three weeks ago they trained at Colliers every day. It’s now having maintenance done on it.
